Deze spectaculaire stad rijst dramatisch op vanuit de Middellandse Zee op terrasvormige hellingen naar de berg Karmel. Vanuit dat oogpunt lijkt de wereld aan je voeten te liggen. Op een heldere dag zie je de Libanese grens, met de besneeuwde berg Hermon in het oosten.

Then, head to the nearby Dome of the Rock, with its distinctive gold dome and traditional Islamic geometric designs.
